Bryan Max, ‘Critics’ Charged Over Weekend Confrontation

Political candidate Bryan Mackintosh, also known as Bryan Max, and social media commentator Mikhail Rodrigues, widely known as Guyanese Critic, were on Monday arraigned at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court following a weekend altercation.
Mackintosh, a candidate for the We Invest in Nationhood (WIN) party, faced three charges stemming from the incident on August 23 at Laluni Street, Georgetown.
He is accused of using abusive language towards OC Rogers and of provoking both Rodrigues and Rogers with the intent to insult or annoy.
He pleaded not guilty to all charges and was released on $15,000 bail per count.
Rodrigues, 45, was charged with unlawfully and maliciously wounding Mackintosh. He also entered a not-guilty plea and was granted $100,000 bail.
Both men are scheduled to return to court on September 15 as the matter continues.
