The Alliance for Change has announced the postponed of its National Conference. On Sunday, the party said its National Executive Committee met virtually where it discussed several matters including the hosting of its National Conference.

“By a unanimous decision of the NEC, it was agreed that the National Conference would be  deferred due to the runaway COVID situation,” the party said.

The party said too that the NEC agreed to postpone the National Conference until a date after March 2022, “at which time, it is hoped that the country is better able to manage the pandemic,” the AFC said in its statement.

Meanwhile, the AFC in its statement said that the NEC was updated on attempts to resolve outstanding issues regarding the Cummingsburg Accord. That Accord serves as the unifying agreement between the AFC and A Partnership for National Unity.

The Party said that it has appointed a “select team to make recommendations to the Executive,” regarding the best positioning of the Party in what it said is the “the evolving political atmosphere.”
