September 27, 2024 – The first group of land recipients at Stewartville-East, Region Three, had the opportunity to view their plots and boundaries for the first time on Friday morning.

Minister of Housing and Water, Collin Croal, joined the allottees and their families in celebrating this significant milestone.

The Stewartville-East and West Housing Scheme is set to provide over 2,100 families with housing opportunities.

On Friday, the Ministry’s Surveys Unit facilitated the identification process for the first 200 allottees from Stewartville-East.

As infrastructure work advances, additional groups will soon be called to participate in similar exercises.

Phase one of the infrastructure development includes land clearing, building drainage networks, and constructing roads, bridges, and culverts.

Major efforts are also underway to complete the main access road to the scheme.

Minister Croal announced that two remaining lots in Stewartville-East and one in Stewartville-West are set to be completed within the next few weeks.

He added, “By the end of October, all allottees in Stewartville-East and West will be able to view their land.”

With the identification process in full swing, allottees can now begin planning the construction of their homes, as the Ministry continues its push to expand homeownership across the nation.
