Cops seeking ‘Avo’ for execution of Kimal Khan’s friend

Police are seeking Mon Repos resident Neil Krishna, called ‘Avo’, in connection with the gunning down last September of Shawn Semple, called ‘Shawnee’, at Third Street, Mon Repos, East Coast Demerara.

Semple was reportedly shot in the back last month as he fled from a Mon Repos yard. He was a close friend of recently slain Mon Repos resident Kimal Khan, who was reportedly shot in the leg during the same confrontation. Another friend of Khan’s, known only as Ryan, was reportedly shot in the face, but survived.

Semple’s murder is said to have stemmed from a dispute over the seizure of Khan’s motorcycle during a police raid.

Kimal Khan is alleged to have accused a Mon Repos resident of sending police to search Khan’s home for a firearm and impounding his bike.

Dead: Kimal Khan

Khan, Semple and Ryan reportedly went to the Mon Repos resident’s home, but were met with heavy gunfire, which resulted in Semple being slain, and Khan and Ryan being wounded.

The killer had reportedly first tried to shoot Khan in the head, but the gun misfired.

Khan, 42, was gunned down at an Ogle, East Coast Demerara traffic light on Sunday, October 15, while towing his girlfriend.

The gunmen, who are still at large, were reportedly in a silver-grey Toyota Allion, with digits 9423 on the licence plate.
