Truck Driver killed in hit and run accident

TWENTY-FIVE YEAR OLD  Adzel Inniss a truck driver who hails from Burma Housing Scheme, Mahaicony, East Coast Demerara was killed Friday morning in a hit and run accident.

At around 04:25hrs, Inniss was reportedly struck down by a car as he parked his truck, opened the door, jump out the truck GAC 1443 and into the path of the car. The driver of the car failed to stop and render any assistant after the impact.

The accident occurred on the Colidgen Public Road, East Coast Demerara in the vicinity of Chico Ramas Gas Station.

According to our information, the truck was heading East along the road when the driver stopped and the car which struck him as he got out of the truck, was also heading east along the said road.

The 25 year old was pronounced dead at the Georgetown Public Hospital based on our information.
