Deputy Commissioner of of Police Paul Williams is back at work.

Several sources have confirmed sightings of Williams around Force Headquarters, Eve Leary this morning.

BIG Smith News Watch has been told that Williams returned to work today.

It is unclear what his role will be or which part of the force he is expected to be placed.

His return to work makes him the second highest ranking officer on the job and by virtue of his rank, is expected to be placed in a stregetic part of the force operational management structure.

Paul Williams was sent on leave back in August shortly after the Peoples Progressive Party Civic took office.

Like many other officers, Williams had several months of accumulated leave.

There were suggestions that Williams would be heading over to the Georgetown Prisons as Director while others suggested he may be seconded to a department or ministry away from the force.
