Two charged for unlawful possession of firearm.

Derwin Drakes 27, called ‘Polo’, a Security Guard of Roxanne Burnham Gardens, and Sherwyn Quincy Davis 31, a Security Guard of East Ruimveldt Housing Scheme were charged with the offences of Possession of Firearm without License and Possession of Ammunition without License.

Drakes and Davis were arrested at the Fantasy Casino located at the Giftland Mall.

 

On Tuesday, the defendants appeared at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court before acting Chief Magistrate Sherdell Isaacs-Marcus, where the two charges were read to them.

 

They both pleaded not guilty to the charges and were granted bail in the sum of $75000 for each charge.

 

Drakes will return to the Sparendaam Magistrate’s Court on July 20, while Davis will return to court on July 19.
