Police are investigating the alleged murder of Leon Aswell Comb, a 29-year-old Labourer of Kilcoy Chesney Corentyne, Berbice, which occurred at about 01:30hrs today by two men.

Police investigations reveal that Comb was at his camp (shack) at the address mentioned above when the incident occurred.

Relatives of the now-deceased man (who also live in the same yard) claim they heard a noise near Comb’s camp, after which they saw two men who were in the yard jump over the fence and escape in a western direction.

Relatives found Comb lying face down on the ground in his camp, with lacerations across the throat and face.

Comb was then escorted to the Port Mourant Public Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

Two persons have been detained and are assisting with the Police investigation.
