Body of E’bo rice farmer found hanging from backdam tree with marks of violence

DEAD: Rice Farmer Seecharran

The body of a young rice farmer was found earlier this morning, hanging from a tree in the backdams on the Essequibo Coast.

The man who has been identifed as Seecharran, from Mainstay on the Essequibo Coast.  The man reportedly went missing on Sunday afternoon.

This publication understands that a search party, after tracking the man’s phone, found his motorcycle and cutlass at the backdam last night. His body was discovered this morning hanging from a tree with marks of violence.

Police have launched an investigation into what appears to be a murder. The BIG Smith News Watch will continue to bring you updates on this developing story.
