October 3 2025 – Police are investigating the alleged murder of 72-year-old Barbara Crawford, a pensioner of Amelia’s Ward, Linden, which occurred on Thursday night at around 20:00 hrs at Plantation Ross, West Coast Berbice.
The elderly woman was reportedly killed by her 55-year-old sister at the home where she had been staying since September 12, 2025, after attending the funeral of a brother.
According to initial investigations, at about 19:45 hrs, Crawford was heard shouting.
