Woman Charged with Attempted Murder of 9-Year-Old Daughter
Bibi Fareena Joseph, also known as Christine, a 33-year-old housewife from Zeelugt, East Bank Essequibo, was arrested on July 7, 2024, and charged today with ‘Attempt to Commit Murder.’
The accused appeared virtually at the Leonora Magistrate’s Court before Her Worship Faith McGusty.
The indictable charge was read to her, and she was not required to enter a plea. Joseph was remanded to prison, with the case postponed to August 2, 2024, for further reporting.
