Versailles Businessman Charged for Exporting Gold Without License

– Released on $600,000 Bail

 

Saffee Ahmad, a businessman with residences at 123 Street, Queens, New York, and Lot 38 Roraima Scheme, Versailles, West Bank Demerara, was arrested by a member of the Major Crime Investigation Unit and charged on June 18, 2024, with the offence of “Exporting Gold Without a License.

 

Ahmad appeared at the Diamond Magistrate’s Court before Principal Magistrate Judy Latchman, where he pleaded not guilty.

 

He was released on $600,000 bail.

 

The case has been scheduled for June 24, 2024, for the submission of statements.
