UPDATE: Linden smash-up victims identified as pensioners

The two persons who were killed in a smash-up on the Soesdyke Linden Highway this evening have been identified as two pensioners.

Their names have been given as Lucille Rozema age 79 year old and Cornelis Rozema age 75 years old.

It is not clear at this time if the two were married.

Both victimes who were killed on the spot are said to he residing at Haruni Linden Highway and were driving motor car PRR 1213.

Police traffic investigators are of the view that the Mr. Rozema fell asleep at the wheel causing his vehicle to end up in the path of a truck which traveling in the opposite direction.

BIG Smith News Watch was informed that the two were pronounced dead on the scene by EMTs who responded.

Their bodies were removed from the location by the police.
