ON THE RUN: Devon Boucher

A Horse Cart operator was on Thursday afternoon stabbed to death by his neighbour identified as Devon Boucher after he refused to purchased cigarettes from the suspect.

Dead is 30-year-old Clifton Bhagwandat called ‘Blackboy’ of Chateau Margot Squatting Dam, East Coast Demerara (ECD).

BIG Smith News Watch was informed that just before 17:30hr, Bhadwandat visited Boucher to purchase cigarettes, but he did not have enough cash to make the purchase.

Boucher reportedly refused to sell the cigarettes at a reduced cost. As a result, BIG Smith News Watch understands that Bhagwandat grabbed his money from the vendor’s hand and related that he was going to the Chinese Supermarket to make his purchase.

It is unclear whether a scuffle ensued, but reports are that Boucher walked into his house where he picked up a knife, returned and stabbed Bhagwandat.

Bhagwandat ran a short distance before he fell and died while Boucher has since gone into hiding.
Investigation in progress.
