Thrilling Action kicks off Republic Bank Under-18 School Football League

The Republic Bank Under-18 School Football League kicked off with a series of exhilarating matches on Sunday at the Ministry of Education ground.
In the first game of the day defending champions, Chase Academic Foundation emerged victorious over Abram Zuil Secondary with a score of 2-1. The game saw Abram Zuils stir some early drama for the defending champs with an early goal from Omar Kendall in the 14th minute. However, Chase responded with relentless determination with an equalizer from Juslyn Halley in the 22nd minute, followed by a decisive goal from Isaiah Ifill in the 55th minute, securing the win for Chase.
Three Miles Secondary also celebrated a hard-fought victory, defeating West Ruimveldt 2-1. West Ruimveldt struck first with a goal by Jeremiah Griffith in the 10th minute. However, Three Miles turned the tide in the second half with goals from Lebron Mendonca in the 55th minute and Joshua James in the 70th minute, sealing their comeback. Notably, Sergio DeAgrella of Three Miles received a yellow card in the 20th minute for a foul.
Meanwhile, in another exciting matchup, South Ruimveldt Secondary triumphed over President College with a score of 2-1. South Ruimveldt started strong with a goal from Jadon Edwards in the 7th minute. President College responded with Daniel Alexander’s equalizer in the 29th minute. However, Tyrese Pemberton netted the winning goal for South Ruimveldt in the 56th minute.
Finally, Charlestown Secondary showcased their dominance with a convincing 2-0 victory over Dolphin Secondary. Dilshawn Alleyne was the star of the match, scoring both goals in the 51st and 65th minutes. Despite their efforts, Dolphin Secondary struggled to find the back of the net, and the match ended without them scoring.
The Republic Bank Under-18 School Football League will continue next weekend at the same venue.
