Seven Charged with Terrorism for Fatal Gas Station Bombing

Seven individuals have been charged with terrorism following investigations into the deadly explosion that occurred at the Mobil Gas Station on Regent and King Streets, Georgetown, on October 26, 2025.
According to a statement from the Guyana Police Force (GPF), legal advice was obtained from the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP), which led to charges being instituted against the suspects.
Those charged are:
Wayne Corriea, 44, Guyanese

Ramesh Pramdeo, 51, Guyanese

Krystal LaCruz, 33, Guyanese/Venezuelan

Daniel Alexander Ramirez Poedemo, 33, Venezuelan

Jennifer Rodriguez, 33, Venezuelan

Johnny Boodram, 27, Venezuelan

Alexander Bettancourt, 44, Venezuelan

Each accused faces the offence of Terrorism, contrary to Section 3(1)(a) of the Criminal Law (Offences) Act, Chapter 8:01.
The seven are scheduled to appear before the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, to answer the charges.
The GPF stated that the investigation was conducted with “professionalism, integrity, and strict adherence to due process,” and reaffirmed its commitment to upholding the rule of law and ensuring public safety.
The Force also expressed appreciation to members of the public and partner agencies for their cooperation and assistance throughout the probe.
