Debris being burnt on the No.5 Public Road earlier Saturday afternoon

The Guyan Police Force has confirmed that the road running through No.5 Village West Coast Berbice was earlier today blocked by persons.

According to a statement from the force, reports were received in relation to the blockage and ranks immediately responded and put out a fire which was started.

The report about the road blockage which came to the police just after 13:00hrs specified that debris was also being used to block the road.

When the ranks responded, they did observe a fire and the debris on the roadway and ma aged to partially extinguish the fire and clear the roadway, allowing traffic to flow again. According to the police statement.

Ranks are still on the ground working to clear the remainder of the roadway.

The police did not save specifically if the burning and blocking was in relation the murders of the three West Berbice teens whose case is yet to be solved.

No arrests have been made thus far.
