28-Y-O Christopher Ali called “Pinky, a seaman of Pepper Street, Edinburgh, has been remanded to prison after being charged with the attempted murder of a teenage girl.

Ali was arrested on March 24, 2026, and formally charged two days later.

Police allege that the accused attempted to murder a 15-year-old girl by stabbing her atleast 26 times. The identity of the victim has been withheld due to her age.

Ali appeared at the New Amsterdam Magistrate’s Court on March 26 before Magistrate Michelle Matthias.

The indictable charge was read to him, and he was not required to enter a plea.

He was remanded to prison and is expected to return to court on April 16, 2026, for statements and disclosure.

Reports indicate that Ali, who is also facing a separate rape charge involving a minor, remains in custody as investigations continue.
