A 27-year-old Georgetown resident charged with unlawful wounding has had the matter dismissed after no evidence was presented in court.

Shemrun Prince resides at Lot 970 North Sophia, Georgetown.

The charge stemmed from an alleged incident on February 21, 2026, at 111 Miles, Mahdia, Region Eight, involving a 33-year-old pork knocker from ‘B’ Field, Sophia, Georgetown.

Prince appeared on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, before the Mahdia Magistrate’s Court, where the charge was read to him by Clive Nurse via Zoom. He pleaded not guilty.

The case was subsequently dismissed after the virtual complainant offered no evidence. Prince was nevertheless placed on a six-week bond to keep the peace, with six weeks’ imprisonment as the alternative in default.
