Chidima Anele Nurse of East La Penitence, Georgetown is this year contesting to be the winner of the Miss Guyana Teen Scholar competition.

“I’m vying to be the Miss Guyana Teen Scholar to be able to be a mentor or a inspiration to young people out there, remind them they can do whatever they put their minds to and to also be able to collab with charitable institutions to enhance the lives of young people,” the aspiring Queen noted.

The Miss Guyana Teen Scholar Pageant is a skills-based training programme for the social and gender development of adolescent girls. Candidates in this programme compete in a pageant for a scholarship that covers their expenses in any tertiary education institution in Guyana during their year of reign.

Currently enrolled in the law programme at the University of Guyana, Chidima noted that she is vying for the pageant to be an inspiration to other young women. She noted that she is passionate of youth development and also the improvement of Guyana’s justice system.

The kind, considerate and passionate Chidima said she is confident of a win. “I possess a unique combination of characteristics designed in such a way in which my personality is one that can light up an entire room,” she confidently stated.

The pageant is set for Saturday, September 10, 2022.
