Man in Custody for Murdering ‘Shut pon Shoulder’

Police in Region Six are investigating the suspected murder of 56-year-old labourer Imran Kadir, known as “Shut Pon Shoulder”, of Lot D King Street, Belvedere Settlement, Corentyne, Berbice.
According to reports, the incident is believed to have occurred sometime between 11:30 a.m. on Friday, November 1, 2025, and 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 2, 2025, at Belvedere Settlement.
Kadir’s body was discovered the following morning, and investigators suspect he was killed during that timeframe.
A 32-year-old carpenter, also from Belvedere Settlement, has been taken into custody and is assisting with the investigation.
Ranks from the Albion Police Station are leading the probe as investigations continue into the circumstances surrounding the man’s death.
