Man Drowns in Annandale Trench

A man, believed to be a painter/Handyman from Lusignan, is suspected to have drowned while picking lotus leaves in a trench at Annandale on Friday.

 

According to reports, the man who is well-known in the area but his correct name remains unknown, reportedly went into the trench to gather lotus leaves when he disappeared beneath the water.

 

Residents familiar with him said they often saw him in the community, but were unable to provide his full identity.

 

Authorities are continuing investigations to confirm the man’s identity and the circumstances surrounding the suspected drowning.
