Eight teams battled and fought for their place in this year’s Kashif & Shanghai One Guyana National Futsal Championship semifinal, but only four spots were available last night.

With over 2.5 million in cash and prizes to be won, fans were treated to some exciting and thrilling matchups that I am sure, they’d wish had not finished the way it did for some.

The four advancing teams are; Back Circle, Sparta Boss, California Square, and Bent Street.

Starting the night off, fans were treated to a 4-2 thriller, with California Square beating Northeast through an impressive Hattrick by Jerry Burnette, supported by Eastman who netted the other goal, meanwhile, Randy Roberts netted a brace for Northeast in their effort.

Sparta Boss defeated Kitty 2-1 through early strikes by Hackett and Junor in the second game of the night.

Back Circle proved to be too much for Mackenzie Allstars, defeating them 3-1, through 3 different scorers in the third game of the night. And with that, they set a matchup with Sparta Boss in the second semifinal to be played on Saturday.

The last game of the night featured Stabroek Ballers v Bent Street. But it would be Bent Street that would prevail in this match, winning 2-1 and setting up a match between themselves and California Square in the first semifinal being played this weekend.
