Police are investigating the discovery of a firearm and ammunition following a late-night operation conducted on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at Three Miles, Wisroc, Linden, as part of an intensified probe into a video circulating on social media involving wanted man Jamal Bourne, also known as “Skinny.”

The operation was carried out between 7:00 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. by ranks from Regional Divisions #3 and #10, acting on information received. Police searched a wooden structure located in dense vegetation in the area, where they discovered a black and silver Taurus pistol with its serial number filed off. The firearm was found concealed under a mattress, along with six live .32 rounds of ammunition.
During further searches, police observed a heap of burnt material in close proximity to the structure. As a result, forensic experts were deployed to conduct additional examinations and searches to determine the origin and nature of the material.
Six persons who were present at the location were arrested and escorted to the Mackenzie Police Station, where the firearm and ammunition were lodged as evidence.
Those arrested include:

Bourne is wanted in connection with the murder of Akeem Hamer, which occurred at Pouderoyen, West Bank Demerara, on September 12, 2024.
According to the police, the Force is aware of a video that circulated on social media and appears to show Bourne inflicting a suspected gunshot wound to himself during a Facebook Live broadcast on Sunday, January 18, 2026. During the broadcast, Bourne was reportedly seen in the company of other individuals and allegedly displayed a number of suspected firearms.
The video has since been removed from the social media page on which it was originally posted.
