Daymon then ran after Morrison in an attempted to retaliate. It was at that point that Morrisson cocked his weapon and began opening rapid fire behind Daymon as he ran.
Sources familiar with the investigation indicated that twenty-seven rounds were fired from the AK-47 assault rifle which Morrison had in his position at the time.
In two separate videos which were shared with this publication, one showed the extent of the aggression and intent of Morrison to hit his moving target, Private Daymon. The second video showed Private Daymon laying motionless on the ground as his colleagues checked to see if he still had any signs of life.

The Guyana Defence Force in a statement Monday morning said the incident does not reflect the professionalism the force stands for and that the isolated incident is not a reflection of the GDF’s interest in ensuring that it protects and looks after the welfare of its soldiers.
The organization also noted that the army will be kicking in its support systems for the family of the deceased soldier.
Morrison is being questioned by the police and GDF as the investigations into the shooting continue.
