Charlestown Man Arrested for Firearm, Ammo Possession

September 23, 2025 — A Charlestown resident is in police custody after law enforcement ranks discovered a firearm and ammunition during a stop-and-search exercise earlier today.
According to police, at about 11:15 a.m., ranks from the Special Branch and the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) attached to Regional Division 4A intercepted an Axio motorcar bearing registration number PAF 744. The vehicle was being driven by Travis Alleyne of Russell Street, Charlestown.
During a search of Alleyne, officers reportedly found a Glock pistol with a magazine concealed in the front left pocket of his pants. A further search of the vehicle uncovered another magazine inside a black one-strap bag.
Alleyne was immediately arrested and taken to the Ruimveldt Police Station, where he remains in custody as investigations continue.
