BREAKING: Oneidge Walrond's Certificate of renunciation released; news questions arises
The Letter released by the Clerk of the National Assembly
Tourism Minister Oneidge Walrond took the oath to renounce her United States citizenship in September. This is according to the Clerk of the National Assembly Sherlock Issacs.

Tourism Minister Oneidge Walrond

In a letter responding to Member of Parliament Roysalde Forde, the Clerk said that the minister “voluntarily took an Oath of Renunciation regarding her nationality of the United States during the month of September 2020,” the letter reads.
In his letter, the Clerk attached a copy of the Certificate of renunciation a stamp reads that the “certificate of Loss of Nationality approved 8th September”.
The document released is signed by Walrond shows that testimony was done on the 4th of September. The Minister along with several MPs took their Oath for the 12th Sitting of the National Assembly on September 1.
Stamped by Consular Section Chief attached to the US Embassy in Georgetown, Guyana. The Clerk in his letter said that the Minister lost her nationality to the United States “immediately upon taking the Oath of Renunciation”.
The APNU AFC coalition publicly said it will legally challenge the Minster’s oath as a member of Parliament as they said the timeline given by the minister was not in keeping with the timeline of when she took the oath as member of Parliament.
