Anns Grove Resident heads GDF’s list of 800+ promoted officer and other ranks
PROMOTED TO COLONEL: Raul Jerrick
FORTY Seven year old Guyana Defense Force Lt. Colonel Raul Jerrick who hails from Anns Grove, East Coast Demerara has been promoted to the rank of Colonel. Jerrick is the lone person to be promoted to the rank of Colonel based on the list which the GDF released.
In a combined list of eight hundred and eighteen persons in total who were promoted, thirty five are officers and according to the statement from the GDF, the promotions will take effect from January 01, 2020.
“Of this total, 25 of the officers are from the regular Force while 10 are reserve officers with the remaining promotions being that of other ranks” the statement noted.
“In accordance with Part III Section 16 of the Defence Act 15:01 of 1977, the Chief of Staff is pleased to announce that His Excellency the President and Commander-in-Chief has approved the following Promotions with effect from 20-01-01, unless otherwise stated” the press statement continued.
