Guyanese man turns up dead in T&T after visit by his ex-boyfriend

Twenty-Seven-Year-old Latchman Singh also know as ‘Marcus Anthony Singh’, a make-Up Artist and Tailor was found murdered in his bedroom at his No. 51 Amethyst Drive, El Dorado apartment. He sustained marks of violence to the back of his head.

Singh a Guyanese by birth, worked at the Survival Supermarket before migrating to the Twin Island Republic several years ago.

The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service in a communication sent to BIG Smith News Watch upon request explained that the young man was found dead by his ‘Live-in’ partner who had just returned from work.

The police arrived on the scene at 18:30hrs on Tuesday, April 13, 2021, and were told that Singh was found motionless in the home and when he was checked for signs of life, there was none.

The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service explained to BIG Smith News Watch that Singh was found bleeding from wounds to the back of his head. They stated the young man was observed lying on his back in a pool of blood and one broken bottle and other items of evidential value were removed from the crime scene.

According to what we were told by the TT law Enforcement, Singh has received a 50% down payment of TT $500 for a dancing job. The person who spoke with the police could not say who the prospective client was.

The last know person to see Latchman Singh was his ex-boyfriend who had taken him to Sangre Grande to collect a puppy and dropped him back home around noon on Tuesday. Singh’s Samsung S9 cell phone and a black pouch containing TT $1,000 currency were nowhere to be found in the apartment.

The police in that country are continuing their investigations into the matter.
