EX-GDF OFFICER ATTEMPTS TO KILL EX-REPUTED WIFE, WOMAN RECOUNTS ORDEAL

A 52 year old man was early this morning detained after he attempted to murder his ex-partner, 48 year old Avia Abrams, a businesswoman of Bartica.

Detained is 52 year old former Guyana Defense Force Officer Desmond Hamer. The BIG Smith Crime Watch was told that the man who lives in Berbice with another woman left that county and traveled to Bartica where he first went to the home of the woman but encountered her son who is usually away in the interior.

While the gate of the property was locked, the man still managed to jump the fence and was about to sneak into the house via the back door when he came face to face with the woman’s son who enquired about his presence. He then related that he came to borrow some money to pay for a hotel and that was given to him by the businessman’s son and then he left
