Rape-Accused Deputy Commissioner Fizal Karimbaksh proposes $5M “Hush Money” to victim
October 27, 2026
The scandal surrounding rape-accused Deputy Commissioner of Police Fizal Karimbaksh has plummeted to a horrifying new moral depth.
Even as the high-stakes investigation spearheaded by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) grips the nation, and with legal files landing before the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP), new audio evidence reveals the desperate, transactional measures deployed behind the scenes to buy silence.
Leaked audio recordings from the exchanges lay bare a shocking attempt to leverage financial payoffs and invoke professional loyalty to bury the criminal probe.
“I’m offering $5 million to get over⦔
In the chilling audio excerpts obtained by BIG Smith News Watch, a voice recognizable as the senior official can be heard attempting to negotiate away the severity of the allegations, leaning heavily on transactional terms, “I’m offering $5 million to get over with all what achievements I do.” When confronted with the gravity of the accusations, the speaker attempts to minimize the fallout, pivot to past service, and question the personal cost to the complainant “If I go down… you go live with the conscience all your life, how you going to benefit?” Despite the explicit nature of the charges and the ongoing police probe, the audio captures an aggressive pushback against accountability, trading on career progression and pressure to drop the resistance.
Yet, the raw audio brings to light a chilling playbook, using economic leverage to suffocate a criminal case. In a disciplined force tasked with upholding the law, the suggestion that a senior commander under active criminal investigation could attempt to trade millions to sweep a brutal sexual violence complaint under the rug represents an unmitigated crisis of institutional integrity.
The unfolding saga follows weeks of intense developments, since a female police officer formally reported multiple instances of abuse and intimidation, allegedly tied to the senior official. This was followed by public outrage continuously flaring over the delayed response in sending the senior commander on leave, drawing criticisms from political opposition figures and former state officials alike.
With the legal files now moving through formal channels for definitive prosecutorial directions, the attempt to dangle a multi-million-dollar buyout before a survivor of alleged sexual violence lays bare the sheer panic gripping those accustomed to operating above the law.
The public is listening to the tapes. The rank and file are watching and The Big Smith News Watch will continue to track every twist, turn, and audio recording until accountability is absolute.
