26-Y-O miner killed in Linden shooting, one in custody

A 26-year-old miner was fatally shot during an altercation at Prasville, Wismar, Linden, on Wednesday morning.
Dead is Keron McDonald of Block 22, Wismar, Linden.
Police said the incident occurred at about 10:00 a.m. while McDonald was engaged in a conversation with a 29-year-old man of Half Mile, Wismar.
An altercation reportedly developed between the two men, during which the 29-year-old allegedly retrieved a firearm from a motor car and discharged a single round in McDonald’s direction.
McDonald was struck to the left side of his chest.
He was taken to the Linden Hospital Complex, where he was pronounced dead on arrival by a doctor.
The 29-year-old suspect was later intercepted by police and taken to the Wismar Police Station, where he remains in custody as investigations continue.
Police have not recovered the firearm reportedly used in the shooting.
Investigations into the circumstances surrounding the fatal incident are ongoing.
