Kairuni woman remanded to prison for attempted Murder

A 28-year-old domestic worker of Kairuni, Linden Highway, has been charged with attempted murder and remanded to prison.
Shenell Ghanie was charged under Section 103(c) of the Criminal Law (Offences) Act, Chapter 8:01, in relation to an incident involving a male on June 29, 2026, at Kairuni Village.
She appeared on Friday, July 3, 2026, before Magistrate Tameika Clarke at the Friendship Magistrate’s Court, where the charge was read to her.
Ghanie was not required to plead and was remanded to prison. The matter was adjourned to August 4, 2026, for report.
