Essequibo families benefit from cement and steel vouchers

Twenty-one families from the Essequibo Coast received cement and steel vouchers early Friday morning at the Regional Housing Office, as part of the Government’s ongoing housing support programme.

The assistance forms part of efforts to support families on their journey toward homeownership through targeted subsidies for building materials.

An additional 14 beneficiaries are expected to uplift their vouchers during the day.

The distribution is part of a wider Cabinet outreach led by President Dr. Irfaan Ali, with ministers and officials deployed across the region to engage residents and deliver services.

One beneficiary, Mahindra Kublall, welcomed the support, describing it as encouraging assistance from the Government.

The initiative falls under the Government’s broader housing agenda aimed at expanding access to affordable homeownership and improving living conditions across Guyana.
