Over the weekend, the Guyana Learning Institute (GLI) celebrated its 26th graduation ceremony at the Umana Yana in Georgetown, recognising 71 graduates across multiple disciplines. Minister of Labour and Manpower Planning, Keoma Griffith, attended the event and delivered the feature address to graduates, faculty members, parents, sponsors, and invited guests.

Graduates successfully completed programmes in Social Work, Sociology, Occupational Safety and Health, Supervisory Management, Psychology, and Organisational Management.

Accredited by the National Accreditation Council, GLI continues to contribute to national development by providing quality education and skills training across several regions.

Minister Griffith highlighted the significance of this achievement as a stepping stone for lifelong learning and professional growth.

He emphasized the importance of discipline, professionalism, and adaptability as Guyana navigates rapid social and economic change.

The Ministry of Labour and Manpower Planning, in collaboration with the Board of Industrial Training (BIT), continues to strengthen skills development frameworks to ensure a competent, adaptable, and future-ready workforce, reinforcing the role of training institutions like GLI in the country’s national development strategy.
