Two persons are now dead after a deadly crash that occurred around 18:30 hrs on Sunday, November 16, 2025, along the Silver Hill Public Road on the Soesdyke–Linden Highway.

The two persons have been identified as Deron Bobb, a female whose age and address are yet to be confirmed, and 51-year-old Wayne Clarke of Grove Village, East Bank Demerara.

According to a police report, Motor Car PHH 1632, driven by a 28-year-old man from Grove Village, was heading south when the driver reportedly lost control.

The vehicle veered into the western lane and slammed into Motor Car PAG 1280, driven by a 22-year-old woman from Moblissa, Soesdyke–Linden Highway. Two children, ages 6 and 2, were passengers in the latter vehicle.

The impact caused PHH 1632 to overturn, pitching its occupants onto the roadway. Emergency responders later pronounced Bobb and Clarke dead at the scene.

The driver of PHH 1632 suffered severe injuries and remains in critical condition at the Linden Hospital Complex.

The driver and juvenile passengers of Motor Car PAG 1280 were also injured and transported to the same hospital for treatment.

The bodies of the deceased have been taken to the Memorial Gardens Funeral Home pending post-mortem examinations.

Police investigations are ongoing.
