November 15, 2025 — Three major aviation and technology companies—Guydrones, AirDash, and Roraima Airways—officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Saturday at the Roraima Airways Hangar, Eugene F. Correia International Airport.

The agreement sets the stage for the rollout of a groundbreaking UAV/drone-based air cargo network expected to transform logistics across Guyana, particularly in remote and hinterland regions.

The partnership aims to introduce cutting-edge drone delivery services capable of transporting small packages and essential items to areas traditionally difficult to access by aircraft.

Speaking at the ceremony, Rowan Singh, Country Manager of Guydrones, welcomed the collaboration with Roraima Airways and AirDash, stating that the future of drone-enabled logistics in Guyana is extremely promising.

He highlighted the potential to deliver items across the country and said he looked forward to a fruitful collaboration,  emphasizing that Guyanese lives, especially in the hinterland, will be impacted significantly.

Irshaad Mohammed, Vice President of Guydrones, noted that the platform being introduced is one of several innovative solutions the company uses to provide services.

He added that drones offer a practical alternative in areas where aircraft cannot go, and are fully supported by Guydrones’ trained and ready pilots, promising more developments ahead.

Dennis Dash, Vice President of AirDash, described the launch of DroneDash as a meaningful step forward for national logistics.

He underscored the service’s focus on speed, reliability, and care, saying it will support businesses, expand possibilities, and make every journey—no matter how remote—possible.

“Together we are building a bridge,” Dash said.

Gerry Gouveia Jr., CEO of Roraima Airways, praised the partnership as a union of three stellar professional aviation companies collaborating to deliver innovative, cutting-edge technology.

He noted that this intiative plans to deliver innovative and cutting edge technology guided by a plethora of guyanese pilots and engineers

He emphasized that the partnership presents a solution to the high cost of sending cargo, while aiding sectors such as infrastructure, agriculture, and health.

Gouveia added that the initiative will help position Guyana at the center of regional technological innovation, with expectations that packages could eventually be delivered overnight between Georgetown and Lethem.

Peter Ramsaroop, CEO of GO-Invest and Member of Parliament, praised the initiative, saying it aligns with the government’s vision.

He commended the union of young innovative companies and highlighted the importance of embracing new technologies.

Ramsaroop said it is encouraging to see young innovators joining together to advance national progress.

According to the companies, the partnership will deploy a diverse fleet of specialized drones tailored for different distances, terrains, and payload requirements. Instead of relying on a single model, the fleet will consist of multiple advanced drones, each optimized for efficiency and endurance.

The alliance aims to:

Improve air cargo efficiency in remote and hard-to-reach locations

Reduce logistics turnaround time

Strengthen national supply chain connectivity

Advance Guyana’s aerial mobility and aviation technology sector

The MoU signing marks a major milestone in Guyana’s advancement toward modern, drone-assisted transportation and logistics.
