Government Will Deliver Cash Grants– Jagdeo

Vice President Dr. Bharrat Jagdeo, has assured that the government will fulfill its promise regarding the distribution of cash grants in time for the upcoming festive season.
Speaking at a press conference on Thursday at the Arthur Chung Conference Centre (ACCC), Dr. Jagdeo was asked about the one-off cash grant promised by Christmas. In response, he affirmed, “whatever the president said on the campaign trail will be done.”
Last year, the PPP/C administration distributed a $100,000 cash grant to every adult Guyanese, injecting approximately $60 billion of disposable income into households nationwide.
The Vice President’s assurance comes as citizens anticipate details of this year’s grant, which is expected to provide further relief and support during the holiday season.
