March 13 2025- The Government of Guyana, through the Ministry of Natural Resources, successfully conducted an Intermediate Crude Marketing Training session from March 11 to 12, 2025.

This initiative is part of a broader effort to enhance local public sector expertise in crude oil marketing, trading, and management—critical skills for overseeing the country’s rapidly expanding petroleum industry.

The training was facilitated by BB Energy Limited, fulfilling a contractual obligation to the Government of Guyana.

Participants included representatives from key institutions such as the Ministry of Finance, Guyana Revenue Authority, Bank of Guyana, Bureau of Statistics, Audit Office, Guyana National Bureau of Standards, and the Guyana Geology and Mines Commission.

This initiative underscores the government’s commitment to building local capacity for effective oil resource management, ensuring that Guyana maximizes the benefits of its energy wealth while maintaining transparency and efficiency in the sector.
