December 18, 2024 – The suspect in the brutal murder of Toshao Ridley Joseph, 37, has surrendered to authorities and remains in police custody.

A police report indicates that Noah Beaton, a 24-year-old resident of Bent Street, Werk-en-Rust, Georgetown, turned himself in at the Brickdam Police Station on Tuesday. He was promptly informed of the allegations against him, arrested, and placed in custody.

Under questioning, Beaton confessed to the gruesome act, claiming the victim, who was known to him, had sexually abused him in the past.

The body of Toshao Ridley Joseph, the leader of Tasserene Village in Region 7, was discovered in a room at the Signature Inn Hotel in Queenstown, Georgetown, with 19 stab wounds.

The investigation is ongoing as detectives gather further evidence and seek to determine the full circumstances surrounding the murder.
