‘Sponge Bobb’ found dead police investigation launched

Woman takes her life after checking into short-time hotel

The police in Division 4A are investigating the alleged murder of 35 year old Andrew (only name given) who also goes by the name of Sponge Bobb.

According to a police release on Monday evening, Andrew ‘Sponge Bobb’ who hails from Timehri Dock Area, East Bank Demerara was found lying motionless early Monday morning at the corners of Regent and Light Streets, Bourda.

The statement from the police indicated that the man was known to be a vagrant. The body when it was discovered was was clad in a black short pants and featured an incised wound to the left side neck.

An initial investigation revealed that the deceased was last seen alive by persons on Sunday evening at approximately 22:00hrs in the vicinity of the Bourda Market. The police investigations into this matter are ongoing.
