Minister Bharrat committed to maintaining progress in forestry sector.

Minister of Natural Resources Vickram Bharrat, and his team of senior staff of the Ministry, met with the management team of the Guyana Forestry Commission.
Also joining a portion of the meeting were Ambassador of the European Union to Guyana, Rene Van Nez and the Policy Manager with focus on Climate Change, Ms. Layla El Khadraoui, also of the EU.
This meeting is facilitating discussions regarding the on going progress within the forestry sector with focus on the revolving fund, the Forest Partnership Agreement and the EU FLEGT VPA.
Minister Bharrat remains committed to consistent interaction with management and stakeholders in an effort to maintain progress within the forestry sector.
