Residents and road users have expressed strong dissatisfaction with the deteriorating condition of the road along sections of Linden to Lethem and near the Kurupari crossing in Region 8.

Road users express their frustration over the damaged road as it is in close proximity to essential services, including police stations and shops, making the situation particularly inconvenient and concerning for the community.

According to the residents, the recent inclement weather has exacerbated the road’s poor condition, making it increasingly hazardous for travelers.

The community is urgently calling for a more durable road and intervention from the government to address the worsening situation. They emphasize that the current state of the road poses significant risks to safety and hinders daily transportation.

Efforts to contact Public Works Minister Juan Edghill for a comment on the situation were unsuccessful. Residents remain hopeful that the government will take swift action to improve the road infrastructure in the region, ensuring safer and more reliable travel for all.
