Left to right: President of Iran Ebrahim Raisi and Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian

The President of Iran Ebrahim Raisi and his Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian are missing.

The two were on board on a helicopter that suffered a “hard landing” in Iran’s East Azerbaijan province, says Iranian state media.

Adverse weather conditions, including heavy fog, are hampering rescue efforts for the still missing helicopter and those who were onboard.

Iran’s Fars News Agency calls on Iranians to pray for President Raisi.
