Three Remanded Over Eureka Lab Robberies

30-year-old Reuben Hopkinson a driver of Farm East Bank Demerara, 36-year-old Kacey John a labourer of Eccles East Bank Demerara and 37-year-old Cephyl Drepaul a driver of East La Penitence were arrested between 2023-06-07 and 2023-06-10 and charged on yesterday with three (3) counts of Robbery Under Arms, committed on Stephan Dickson and Tevin Denny of a safe containing cash and other items to the value of $4,660,000 property of Andrew Boyle of Eureka Medical Laboratories.

 

The charge was laid under Section 222(c) of the Criminal Law (Offences) Act Chapter 8:01.

 

The accused appeared at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court before Chief Magistrate (ag) Sherdel Isaacs-Marcus where the AJA was applied by the prosecution and the three accused pleaded not guilty. Bail was refused, and they were remanded to prison. The case was adjourned to July 12.
