The operations of the Brickdam Police Station will be temporarily relocated to the St Stanislaus College compound, following Saturday’s fire which reduced the original building to ashes.

The Big Smith news watch understands that the Police will occupy the basketball tarmac in tents while records and other departments which make up the Police Station services, will be housed in the Industrial Arts Department of the School.office.

Contractors are already on the ground putting systems in place under the watchful eyes of Permanent Secretaries of the Ministries of Home Affairs and Education, Senior Police Officers including Clifton Hicken, Calvin Brutus and Simon McBean.

A number of police ranks are also on the ground assisting with the process from the sorting of stationary to assembling chairs for the offices.

The Guyana Fire Service in a statement said it is investigating the cause of the fire which destroyed almost the Police Station.
