The Sharon’s Building which is located on Charlotte and King Streets is presently the subject of a fire fighting operation.

While there is no visible blaze that could be seen from the exterior of the building, the entire facility is engulfed with smoke.

The building is home to several law offices of attorneys-at-law who occupy mostly the upper and middle floors of the building.

A number of other establishments are also housed there.

When this publication arrived at the scene, persons who operate clothing stores were seen salvaging things from the building.

The police have kept the crowd at bay and have a large number of boots on the ground preventing the crowd from getting too close while firefighters conduct their operations.

The fire department has several tenders on the ground using open sources of water from the South Road and Avenue of the Republic canals respectively.

Home Affairs Minister Robeson Benn, the fire chief and the commander of Police 4-A are on the ground.
