April 10 2025– The Secretariat of the Guyana Energy Conference & Supply Chain Expo (GECSCE) has officially announced that the fifth edition of the Caribbean’s premier energy and investment forum will take place from February 17 to 20, 2026, at the Guyana Marriott Hotel.

Themed “Building Tomorrow’s Future Today,” the 2026 conference aims to convene global leaders, energy experts, investors, and innovators to explore strategies for sustainable development, digital transformation, and resilient economies.

The theme reflects the urgency of taking decisive action now to secure a sustainable and prosperous future for both Guyana and the Caribbean region.

With its expanding energy sector and abundant natural resources, Guyana is uniquely positioned for transformative growth—but doing so will require innovation, inclusivity, and sustainability at the core of its development approach.

Key topics to be explored include:

  • Leveraging oil and gas revenues for renewable energy development.

  • The role of technology in enhancing efficiency and transparency across sectors.

  • Building regional partnerships for energy security and economic resilience.

  • Cross-border energy trade opportunities.

  • Public-private partnerships in infrastructure and energy.

  • Global best practices in energy regulation.

  • Progress updates on major energy and infrastructure projects.

The conference will serve as a bridge between current challenges and future solutions, ensuring that Guyana’s development is both impactful and enduring.

A Platform for Progress

Anthony Whyte, Chairman of GECSCE, highlighted the conference’s significance in national development:

“In just four years, this event has become the leading forum for meaningful dialogue and collaboration. Our theme underscores the urgency of acting now to build resilient economies. Whether through digital transformation, sustainable energy, or regional partnerships, we must lay the groundwork today for tomorrow’s success.”

Kiana Wilburg, CEO of GECSCE, emphasized the global scope and growing influence of the event:

“Last year, we welcomed over 10,000 participants from 40+ countries, solidifying our position as the Caribbean’s premier energy and investment forum. In 2026, we will elevate this further, fostering partnerships that go beyond transactions to create lasting impact.”

Dynamic Side Events

The 2026 conference will also feature a series of interactive and community-focused side events:

  1. 5K Energy Run/Walk – Promoting wellness and energy awareness.

  2. Essay Competition – Engaging youth voices on sustainability.

  3. Conference Village – A space for networking, exhibits, and interactive sessions.

  4. Taste of Guyana Showcase – A celebration of local cuisine and culture.

These activities, which debuted in 2025, will return with even greater participation and impact.
