Tokyo Motors has officially launched GAC Motor vehicles in Guyana, becoming the first dealership to introduce the globally recognised Chinese automotive brand to the local market.

In a recent press release, the company announced that the new lineup will be unveiled at the upcoming Building Expo, where Guyanese consumers will get their first look at a range of fully electric vehicles designed to combine advanced technology, performance, and affordability.

Founded in 2008, GAC Motor has built an international reputation for innovative automotive engineering, modern designs, and sustainable mobility solutions.

Among the vehicles set to debut locally is the AION V, a fully electric SUV capable of travelling more than 500 kilometres on a single charge. The vehicle also features fast-charging technology capable of powering the battery to 80 per cent in approximately 30 minutes. The SUV is priced at GYD $7.8 million and comes with an eight-year battery warranty.

Tokyo Motors will also introduce the AION ES, a fully electric sedan aimed at providing a balance between affordability and premium comfort. The company said the model is intended to make electric mobility more accessible to Guyanese families. The sedan carries a starting price of GYD $5.8 million and includes an eight-year battery warranty. Financing options are also being offered, with monthly payments starting from approximately GYD $78,500, subject to approval.

Also joining the lineup is the Hyptec HT Elite Plus, a luxury electric SUV featuring advanced smart technology, intelligent safety systems, premium interior finishes, and enhanced connectivity features. The vehicle is priced at GYD $9.5 million and also comes with an eight-year battery warranty.

Tokyo Motors said it has partnered with several local financial institutions to provide flexible financing solutions as interest in electric vehicles continues to grow in Guyana.

The company is also inviting interested customers to schedule test drives through its sales department via telephone or WhatsApp.
