Nurse Aide Charged, Remanded for Inciting Terrorism

May 9 2025 – Tianna Serena Lewis-King, a 23-year-old nurse from Sixth Street, Graham Street, Better Hope, East Coast Demerara, has been charged with inciting acts of terrorism.
The charge was laid, following her arrest on Monday, May 5, 2025.
She was formally charged on Friday, May 9, and appeared before Georgetown Magistrate’s Court.
Lewis-King was not required to plead to the indictable charge. The prosecutor objected to bail, and she was remanded to prison. The matter has been adjourned to May 30, 2025.
The charge comes amid growing controversy and tension surrounding the investigation into the death of 11-year-old Adriana Younge. Lewis-King is accused of creating public mischief and attempting to pervert the course of justice after a voice note, allegedly recorded by her, circulated widely on social media.
The recording surfaced on Monday, just hours before Adriana’s scheduled burial. In it, a female voice claimed to have been present during the child’s post-mortem examination and alleged that she was sent by the Minister of Health.
The audio triggered public outrage and confusion, the grieving family has since postponed the funeral.
Authorities quickly launched an investigation, and the Guyana Police Force later confirmed that the statements in the voice note were false.
Minister of Health Dr. Frank Anthony also denied any association with Lewis-King or issuing any instructions related to the autopsy.
The case remains under investigation.
